E-signature comparison
Signeasy vs DocuSign vs Dropbox Sign: what small teams actually pay
All three send documents for legally binding electronic signature. The differences that change your bill are sending limits, template allowances and what each plan charges per seat.
Quick verdict
Our assessment: on published prices, Dropbox Sign is the cheapest way to send many documents, for one person or a small team. Signeasy is the value choice once you need approval workflows, roles or a HubSpot connection: its Business Pro plan includes them at $30 per seat. DocuSign's top self-serve plan, Business Pro at $45, centres on bulk send, payment collection and web forms instead. DocuSign costs the most and caps envelopes at 100 per user a year on its team plans; pick it when your clients or industry expect DocuSign, or when you need bulk send, payment collection and web forms in one plan.

How to choose
- Count documents per month and who sends them. A 5-a-month cap on the cheapest plans is easy to outgrow.
- Count templates. If you reuse more than 5 contracts, check the template allowance before the price.
- List the workflow features you would really use: approvals, roles, bulk send, payments, a CRM connection. Pay for a higher tier only for those.
- Ask what your signers expect. Some clients and regulated industries ask for a specific provider.
Questions to ask every vendor
- What happens when we exceed the sending or template limit, and what does it cost?
- Which add-ons (SMS delivery, ID verification, SSO) would we need, and at what written price?
- Does the audit trail meet the signature rules where our signers are?
- Can we export every signed document and audit trail if we leave?
