Website monitoring
UptimeRobot: uptime monitoring pricing and fit
Most small sites can start free. Pay when you need faster checks, team seats or more status pages.
What UptimeRobot provides
UptimeRobot checks your website, servers and other endpoints at regular intervals and alerts you when they stop responding, with public status pages to keep customers informed. Our assessment: the free plan covers most small businesses with one or a few sites; the paid plans matter when a few minutes of downtime is costly or several people share alerts.

Source: UptimeRobot pricing, checked 31 October 2026. The page does not label which Solo, Team and Scale figure is monthly and which annual; we treat the higher one as monthly because the stated annual totals ($144, $396 and $804) match the lower figures. Solo and Scale prices are starting prices for the lower monitor count. The page gives both "~15%" and 20% for the annual saving. There is a 14-day money-back guarantee.
What the free plan includes and leaves out
- Included: 50 monitors at 5-minute intervals, one basic status page, email alerts, and commercial use.
- Not included: login seats for colleagues, more than 5 integrations, or data older than 3 months. SMS and voice alerts need purchased credits.
Questions to ask before buying
- How long can our site be down before it costs us? That decides whether 5-minute checks are enough.
- Who must be alerted, and by which channel (email, SMS, Slack, PagerDuty)?
- Do we need a branded status page for customers?
- How many sites, APIs or servers do we need to watch now and in a year?
