AI phone receptionist
Orateur: AI receptionist pricing, minutes and fit
Orateur charges by AI call minutes. Estimate your monthly call time first; that decides the plan more than any feature.
What Orateur provides
Orateur is an AI voice agent that answers your business phone line, answers common questions, takes messages, transfers calls and books, moves or cancels appointments in Google Calendar or Outlook. Each plan includes a phone number. Our assessment: it suits appointment-based businesses and small professional firms that miss calls while busy with clients and do not want to hire a receptionist. Test it with real caller questions during the free minutes before relying on it for every call.

Which plan fits your call volume
- Up to 240 minutes a month (about 8 minutes a day): Creator.
- 240 to about 450 minutes: Creator plus extra minutes still costs less than Pro, by our calculation from the published rates.
- About 450 to 1,000 minutes: Pro.
- Over about 1,000 minutes, or more than 2 users: Scale, which also has the lowest per-minute rate.
Questions to ask before buying
- How many minutes of inbound calls do we get a month, including after hours?
- Which questions must it answer correctly, and what happens when it cannot?
- Does it work with our calendar and booking rules, and can we keep or port our existing number?
- Where are call recordings and transcripts stored, and can we delete them?
- Do callers need to be told they are speaking to an AI where we operate?
